Relationship to the Master of Medicine

The certificate in primary care skin cancer surgery is approved for financial recognition in the masters (IMED7005, therapeutics 2: surgical repair). Students who participate will not have to pay for IMED7005 in the masters but will be required to fulfil the assessment requirements for IMED7005. The workshop also fulfils the compulsory practical workshop component of the masters.

Students will not be required to pay for this unit again and will need to inform the UQ Masters Coordinator if they wish to seek recognition of prior learning (RPL) upon enrolling for the course. Doctors planning to study for the Master’s Degree but seeking a reduced study load initially will find this certificate program a useful option.
